Notes: Groundout, flyout, groundout, single, flyout… Eighth stolen base of the year… After 52 games batting third, manager Eric Wedge moved Ichiro back to his usual leadoff spot, mostly because Chone Figgins stank at leadoff, and Ichiro wasn’t driving in many runs hitting third… Exactly one-third of the way into the season, Ichiro is on a 174-hit pace; at this point last year, he had 61 hits on his way to 185… It’s becoming apparent that last season wan’t just an “off” year, but rather it seems to be Ichiro’s new standard.
