Baseball Card of the Week: 2011 Topps Heritage #238

At the moment, my steadily growing collection of unique Ichiro baseball cards stands at 163. Each Friday during the season I’ll post one of ’em here.

This week’s specimen is my latest acquisition, taken from Topps’ just-released ’11 Heritage set, which is based on Topps’ 1962 wood-grain card set. I love these faux-vintage cards, much more than the “current” cards released these days — for that matter, more than most any cards released since the early ’90s. Like most cards I’ve bought in recent years, I got it cheap on eBay.

  1. Are you going to put a full photo set of all your Ichiro cards online at some point?

  2. Heavens, no — that’s too much work!
